Local Community Flocks Together to Support Youth at the Annual Lookout 07 Chicken Run.
Lookout 07 Chicken Run
Chicken suits, 75 kilometres of bitumen, and a mission to change lives—it’s all part of this year’s Lookout 07 Chicken Run, set to take place in July as Leon Stenholm and his dedicated crew lace up to raise much-needed funds for youth charity Lookout 07.
The route, stretching from Noosa to Caloundra, brings together spirited runners, supporters, and local personalities for a feathered fundraising adventure. Among the runners are Troy “Chooky” Deighton, the original founder of the Chicken Run, and 91.1 Hot FM Breakfast Radio host Ash Gierke, adding extra cluck to the cause.
Lookout 07 provides a secure, inclusive, and welcoming environment for young people aged 12 to 25 across the Sunshine Coast—including Warana, Birtinya, Caloundra, Currimundi, and Mooloolaba. The centre is a vital hub for connection, empowerment, and mental and emotional well-being.
91.1 Hot FM is once again backing the cause and will be broadcasting live from the Chicken Run.
“We’re proud to support the Chicken Run and Lookout 07 Charity,” said 91.1 Hot FM General Manager Rod Winner. “Every step, every feathered friend, and every donation makes a real difference. What Leon and the team at Lookout 07 are doing to support the youth of the Sunshine Coast both changes lives and saves lives!”
The Chicken Run is more than a fundraiser—it’s a movement powered by heart, humour, and hope.
