Ambassadors

Creating lasting change requires a collective effort. The LookOut07 Ambassadors are a team of influential and inspiring individuals who have chosen to stand with us in our mission to transform youth mental health support in Australia. Each Ambassador shares our founder Leon Stensholm’s vision for a future where every young person feels seen, heard, and supported. They use their unique platforms to champion our cause, foster crucial conversations, and ensure our message of hope and resilience reaches communities far and wide. We are honoured to introduce the remarkable people helping us light the way forward.

Jon Coghill

Jon Coghill, the iconic Australian drummer best known for his powerhouse rhythms in the legendary band Powderfinger, is proud to announce he is joining LookOut07 as an official Ambassador. He is thrilled to lend his voice and platform to an organisation dedicated to the critical mission of supporting youth mental health. With a career spent connecting with audiences across the country, Jon is passionate about using his influence to foster positive change and shine a light on this important cause.

Jon is deeply moved by the origins of LookOut07, which was founded in 2023 by former elite athlete and mental health advocate Leon Stensholm. The organisation was born from a profoundly personal mission after Leon tragically lost his best friend and brother, Dean, to suicide. This event ignited Leon's unwavering dedication to creating a lifeline for young people, establishing LookOut07 under the Stensholm Foundation to help them navigate mental health struggles, generational trauma, and the challenges of adolescence.

In his role as Ambassador, Jon is eager to champion this vital work and support Leon’s vision of creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive space where youth can access the help they need to thrive. By joining the LookOut07 team, Jon hopes to amplify their message of hope, reduce stigma, and ensure that young Australians know they are not alone in their struggles.

Barry Lea

Barry Lea is a former international footballer turned media personality — a big-hearted, wild-spirited Aussie larrikin with a story as fast-paced and unpredictable as the games he dominated.

As a blistering winger, Lea lit up the rugby world in the early '90s, earning his first Wallabies call-up at just 21. He scored tries on the 1993 international tour against the USA and the Barbarians in France — without ever having played for Queensland at senior level. In 1994, he became a Super 10 champion with Queensland, scoring 11 tries that season, including the opener in the final in Durban.

A rare dual-code athlete, he was signed by both the Newcastle Knights in rugby league and later the Canberra Raiders in the Super League, before wrapping up his professional playing career with English club Saracens. From schoolboy sensation to international standout, Barry's raw talent and explosive pace made him one of the most exciting Australian backs of his era.

But Barry Lea is more than just a footy player — he's a natural storyteller, a mischief-maker, and a magnetic on-air presence. He’s worked as a radio host, acted alongside Brian Cox in the ABC drama The Straits, and brought his larger-than-life energy to Australian Survivor, where his grit, humour, and warmth won fans before his exit on Day 14.

Born in Brisbane and the proud son of Indigenous Vietnam War veteran Corporal Buddy Lea (portrayed in Danger Close), Barry carries a legacy of strength, loyalty, and wild Aussie charm. He’s equal parts athlete and entertainer — a bloke with serious game and zero ego. A man who can own the screen, crack the jokes, and bring heart to every story he tells.
